Well coached teams create turnovers.

And he would not be a good fit at SMU because he could not recruit 'athletes' to come to SMU in a run-based wishbone offense....hog wash. Let me ask you naysayers this.....what has the spread offense done for SMU? Answer: 1 win folks and lots of missed opporunities...can you say 1st and goal!

The 2007 SMU offense came within less than 100 yards of setting the new school record for most yards in a season. Also, we have gone from 202 to 229 to 325 and then to 326 points scored in a season. Please.

please check along with those other offensive stats how far off the turnover record and TOP records were from the all time marks.

And you blame that on the offensive system we run?

You can also put part of the defensive struggles on the offense as well

Come on - the big problem with the team this year was defense.

I think you could blame a lot of the turnovers on poor decisions, not carrying the ball properly, making ill-advised throws, and trying to accomplish everything yourself, and a lack of consistent play from the team.

How can you not blame turnovers on the type of offense we run...if you dont give willis to many options he won't make bad decisions...only 3 things can happen when you pass the ball and 2 of them are bad....

Did you see that stats in the navy game... they are going to set the record for least amount of punts and the have had only 13 3 and outs in the past 3 games....pretty impressive....
I would prefer to have someone other than our punter be 1st team all conference. Just my opinion
