By reporting early (and possibly untruthfully) that Les Miles was heading to rival Michigan with Tenuta on the day of the SEC championship...did he intentionally blow this deal up?

Very true. I guess I'm imagining Les or O'Keefe/Bertman watching the ESPN gameday coverage this morning hearing OSU Herbie make that comment and becoming very concerned or angry...resulting in either an angry phone call by O'Keefe/Bertman to Miles or Miles feeling he needs to immediately call a press conference to quickly quelch/deny it or at least try to appease LSU fans Saban-esquely so that they don't come down on him during the game or in the event of a loss. It's just interesting that Kirk makes that comment and then suddenly there's a press conference (presumably a denial) called lickity-split.

Wow. There it was. Miles seemed pretty peeved and obviously annoyed by the Miles-to-Michigan assertion...unnecessarily so if he was just trying to fluff the fans with the "i am the lsu football coach" speech. He could be annoyed at the distraction and he could be getting a lot of heat or he could be annoyed that they are blowing up a deal before it was really in place.

He did not say he is not going to Michigan. He is bigger [deleted] than Saban and Fran put together.
