Offensive Line - 2003 SeasonAny knowledgeable opinions as to how the starting people for this group will evolve in the coming season?
Re: Offensive Line - 2003 SeasonNeed to go into the season w/ 8 OL at a minimum. Starters- Neal, Kieschnick, Reindl, Hargis, and Harris. Top Back ups- Guidry and Urbanus.
8th candidate to come from- Morton, Eidson, Poulous, Meacham, Darrin Johnson, and perhaps Benson. They would like to RS Peveto and Boren, but they may have to play if someone goes down and the 8th player never develops. LS to be Eidson with probably Turner as back up. Hopefully Turner can RS.
Re: Offensive Line - 2003 SeasonDidn't I read here that Benson had been moved to defensive line? Was that to DE or DT?
How did he do in the spring? I saw on the spring roster that he was listed at 6'5", 265 - has he gotten any bigger? Of course, the development of that offensive line will be the key to any offensive success, whether it's in an option offense, a wide-open passing game or somewhere in between. The play up front is vital. [This message has been edited by Phil Fan (edited 07-13-2003).]
