Do they always call you at weird times, like after 10pm?

i had a friend last year who worked for the registrar doing calls like that

After 10pm, weekends, etc. Quite annoying..

i guess our endowment isnt enough to keep the lights on these days

I've had about 20 of those calls from the same number over the last 10 days, and they never leave a message.

I think it is the Search Committee. They are hoping someone will finally answer.

if they're asking for money, its probably for the new coach's salary

I'd be more inclined if the 'student' they had calling me didn't have an accent so thick you couldn't understand her, or if she wasn't reading word for word off a script that sounded bizarre with her accent.

She's an 'out of country' hire (India)...they called me, too...I asked her if she knew where SMU is (answer: no)...end of call!

I think I'll ask a similar question next time they call me. This girl claimed to be a student. If I get someone calling me claiming to be a student and really isn't, I'm going to rip someone at SMU a new 'lubbock' over it.
