Different Idea for a Coach

In a conference dominated by offense, would it not be a good idea to go for a proven defensive minded coach and hire a smart up-and-coming offensive mind like Applewhite? I think if we are the only team in Conference USA with a solid defense, we could be dominant.

I say this because every name being discussed has been an offensive-minded coach. Any thoughts?

Firephil has been in contact with him and offered him free use of his head if he signed with us today!

Interesting, Phil declined firephil's lunch invitation. Even firephil can't bring phil back. Not that firephil wants to do that.

Guess you forgot that PB was a D minded coach...and we all know how that turned out...

MORE MORE DCs to HCs please...we need a guy who can spread the field and put up 500 yards + of total offense/game

i didnt say anything about a DC. we just need a proven HC who knows how to run a solid D. what's the point in putting up 40+ points per game if everybody else puts up 50

Well, you have to stay to the end to see your team lose in overtime, instead of being able to leave at half time. Increases concession revenue.

Tell that to the owners who spend the offseason tripping over themselves to throw truckloads of cash at Jason Garrett. :D
