Some have predicted that today will be the day we find out who is our next coach. As one that has patiently waited, I do hope that this prediction is correct.

Dude, you must be the snipe in this analogy.

I am now pretty well convinced Orsini is having trouble landing someone good. I think it will be a miracle now if we get someone in the range of a Paul Johnson, a little more likely we will get someone below a PJ but above a Bennett, and a whole lot more likely that we will get someone in about the same category as a Bennett.

Not to be a jerk, but I'm getting a little sick of these posters who act like this is all some master plan by Orsini and that he is fully in control. I think he is a good, aggressive AD at a school with a bad sports program who is trying his best. Not a miracle worker or some strong-arm mob boss.

You're the guy who told that one naive kid in 2nd grade that still believed in Santa Claus that he wasn't real.

Agree. There is no advantage to slow-play the hiring process. If we already had a coach in place then he could be hitting the recruiting trail trying to salvage the recruiting class. It will be interesting to find out what coaches have already turned us down.

I have a feeling many on this board will still believe in "Santa Claus" no matter what I or anyone else says.

Does it sound like Carlos Mencia when it rings?

It has to happen today or tomorrow, otherwise we'll be begging Cavan to come back.

What happened to Coach Fran talk? Has he been mentioned for other jobs? Right now I'd overpay for him or Johnson.
