Get ready for the flexbone. Navy's Paul Johnson seemed set to be set to become SMU's new coach this week but it looks like Georgia Tech came back with a late offer and could be snagging the hottest coaching commodity on the market.
If Johnson does leave after defeating Army 38-3, he will leave a legacy of a 10-1 record against the two other service academies and a Navy-record five consecutive bowls. Johnson's triple option flexbone in the ACC? Johnson won't outsmart himself. Expect him to use at least some spread.

Follow the money. ...This may be the greatest disinformation campaign since Patton was to lead the invasion of France, but why would Ford's plane go to BWI.....
It is rumored that GT had to pay Gailey 4 million to buy him out. If that is the case, their offer may not be enough to get PJ.....PJ is Turner's guy, this is no secret. If he hit the big money guys for another 2 million or so, I could see that. We are in a bidding war with GT. Darth thinks we leave GT in the dust...
then again maybe not......

i thought we would out $ Duke, even with their BCS conference money. but GT??? even if they don't "pony up", how could PJ turn down a legit ACC team??
i really really hope GT goes in another direction.
