Common Rumors for Coaching Hires Plus a Comment
Posted: Tue Dec 04, 2007 10:36 amokay so yesterday everyone did a great job of covering the plane, and that one appears to be legit. The fact that PJ talked to Duke sometime yesterday does not mean he did not get on that plane, especially since the plane didn't leave Baltimore until late afternoon. Plane tracking has become a huge deal in the last few years of coaching searches, and I think it's cool we finally got to take part in one of those.
Before the planes became a big deal, probably the 2 most often used, BS rumors related to (1) a house purchase and (2) enrollment in kids at a good private high school. Other than all of the facetious (and sometimes pretty funny) sightings that have been mentioned on the board the last few weeks, what are some other common rumors related to coaching searches?
Finally, I almost feel like a real college fan with a real college sports website these last few days. Throw in some good humor (and plenty of failed efforts) and it's been fun. Even poor Stallion has been marginilized to near-irrelevance lately.
