that what I postulated last week under the heading "the simplest answer..." and what mrydel has said all along (new coach 12/3) that in fact Orsini DID NOT have his man, or at least couldn't close the deal, and we're screwed? Are we scrambling? Why the wait? If PJ is our man, why let so much time go by so that Duke & GT can counter by the day/hour?
Or maybe Orsini plans to name PJ the guy on Wednesday and hope the fervor rolls over to the bball game?
Thoughts??
Oh, and expony18...has your 'source' rethought his info on Fran, or is that still a possibility?

My prediction did not happen, but I think the schedule is still close to the same. I could also very well be wrong. Please never take stock in anything I say. My first wife learned this and my second wife knew it from the beginning. I have the least contacts of all. I still think we will have an announcement in the next couple of days, but again I speculate. I still think Orsini still has his original person, but they may be hedging a little.
That being said, I repeat that nothing I say should be determined gospel. I am far removed from the process. During the season I could talk with some contacts on game day but I do not hound those people from here.
I still have the utmost confidemce that we will be much better off with whomever we end up with. Hopefully any delay is due to the new coach getting assurances on admission requirements.

i just ran into Marty Schottenheimer-he was making burritos at the Chipotle in the West End. I think he's a shoo-in for the SMU gig.

1. I didn't know there is a Chipotle in the West End. Seems like everytime I'm in the mood for Chipotle, it's on the opposite side of the street from where I'm driving.
2. If what you say is true, Chipotle is purpoted to be a great company to work for...I don't think we'll get Schottenheimer away from that situation to come clean up our mess.
