was thinking, how much of the coaches comp is incentive based? SMU should offer a bonus of $1 million for winning Conference USA. Why not, it would be well worth it. Results based. Hell, make it $3million. Small price to pay to effectively save football at SMU from spiraling down the toilet.

Great article. Very interesting.
Does anyone have any idea what the top OC & DC make?
Any ideas on the other coaches salaries? Ball park?
Maybe I should think about taking coaching my 5 yr old to a whole new level

I noticed today that Rodriguez the WV coach just pocketed $150,000 for winning the Big East.

When A&M was looking for a new DC, there was an article that said the top coordinator in the NCAA (forget who it was) made about $500,000 a year.

Thanks for the article...unfortunately it started me off by redesigning conferences! Let's see TCU, Houston, UTEP, SMU, Colorado State and Airforce in the Southwest, and the rest in the Mountain West...

Please no conference redesigns, no, no, no. Stop it. We're in CUSA. We like CUSA. We need to stay in CUSA. If CUSA changes, then we deal with it. I don't see CUSA changing for some time. So, let's leave these senseless what ifs alone, please!

Unless things have changed alot, believe that GT is paying Tenuta close to 500k right now. That might be who was mentioned
