A PC would likely occur at 11am or 2pm on the day it is announced.

My guess is it depends on if he stayed in town or not. (Referencing the "they only flew his wife back" rumor) Still think he would go back and announce it to his team first, but he would definitely meet with the SMU team before the announcement regardless. If he went home and met with his team tonight, this would require him to fly in, meet with the team, and the press conference would be in the afternoon. If he stayed, they might meet with the team tonight considering that finals are going on???? But then I couldn't imagine why they would have waited to announce it until tomorrow.

(The Nebraska scenario was Pelini told his players before the SEC championship game, flew to Nebraska in the morning, met with the players around 3, and the press conference was at 4.)

Guarantee he wont meet the team the day before the announcement. SO has laid down the law in the dept that only he speaks and we all know the team would spill the beans

Agreed. Which leads us to believe he was on the plane with his wife.

Regardless, the press will know that a conference will be coming hours in advance. The question is--do we trust Kate to post it? Probably not. I would recommend listening to the Ticket or something. The local TV stations probably won't put news alert tickers up for hours before the conference like they did in Omaha!

Do we have a parade route planned for the celebration? Purple hippo as grand marshal...

As of tonight, there is no press conference scheduled and no announcement on the verge of being made. That, of course, could change.

Press conference likely would be at 1 or 2 p.m. on whatever day it is announced.
