Johnson and GT reportedly reach dealAM radio in Atlanta just reported that Johnson has reached a deal with GT....
I'm not familiar with the stations, as my friend just called me with the news, but I'm hoping this station is about as credible as the Ticket, and the report may be based on pure speculation... Either way, I thought I'd pass it on. I was really hoping we'd land this guy..
Based on PJ recent travels and discussions, he appears to be more deliberate than having one meeting and shaking hands on the spot.
Could be true, but it could just as easily be wishful thinking. We certainly resemble that remark. Pony Up
Agreed. I would assume they would hear wind of anything definitive on the GT board that originated from Atl. media, but my friend who passed it on has had his ears open out there the last few days.
I emailed him back to see if we can get a quote or contact at the station.
is this the atlanta radio station?

I'm sure the people in Atlanta are much more concerned with the Thrashers and GT basketball these days than GT football.
something as big as this, would still be getting talked about. I find it hard to believe they would say something to the affect of " oh look PJ signed contract with GT, now back to womens golf"
not buying this one
I know there's this message about a coach's meeting tomorrow, but if PJ has reached a decision, he must not have communicated it to the parties this afternoon. Something would have slipped out by now.
Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.

Don't have the link but al Jezerrah just announced that Paul Johnson is going to Abu Dhabi University to coach their naval academy midshipmen.

I agree, this is the equivalent of A&M hiring a new coach and every sports talk station in Dallas ignoring it....I'll happily take a mulligan on this report, as I said, just passing on what I was told.
