Video of PJ's 1999 Georgia Southern team

It's not the best footage, but it shows the versitality of the offense with a lot of passing in that game. (The fullback, Adrian Peterson, is now the starting running back for the Chicago Bears)

Another look at PJ's offense from 1999 (video quality isn't great, but it's from a higher angle that will, hopefully, show the offense a little better.

Want to know what I notice about Johnson?
I love it, too. His players don't pull up after the first block...especially the skill position players. They keep blocking downfield, and similarly, his defensive guys don't let up. If the QB gets away, he's got the same guy on him 2 seconds later after having gotten up from being blocked and chasing the QB down. Their tackles are polished.

Well-coached, fellas. Whatever his offensive philosophy, his guys are extremely well-coached.

Thanks for digging these up. Those GS teams looked amazing. They could kill the SMU team from this past year. Looked like they had some great talent on those teams. These videos get me very excited about having PJ if we can snag him. Everyone should watch.

Didn't he have Adrian Peterson with him down there during his championship years? (Bears, not Vikings)

He did indeed. Got a signed GSU Peterson jersey hanging up in my house right now.

Please note: Georgia Southern is a Div. 1 FCS (formerly Div. 1-AA) team. ;) I LOVE IT!
