He used to call our games, so he'll do a good job with Bennett tomorrow.

Yeah, Folliwell does a good job.
Those guys had Coach Fran on the other night.

Man...I wish there was some way that we could find out when the coach or a player is going to be on TV or radio 'in advance'! Hopefully, I'll be home from work tomorrow night in time to see Coach B. on TXCN! Unfortunately, Tropical Storm Claudette may keep me at the office late!

How do you rank the SMU radio play-by-play guys? I've been following the Ponies since 1989, and for me, I'd say:

1. Mark Followill
2. Walter Lynn
3. Rich Phillips
4. Ted Dawson

Am I forgetting anyone? If so, whoever I left out is better than Dawson - that guy was terrible. Although I do remember in 1989 when he was going through his pre-game discussion about the day's game, when one of the Peruna handlers tripped and went airborne before crashing to the turfd - and Dawson interrupted his pregame analysis to say something about "Ladies and gentlemen, while the Mustangs and Aggies (or whoever we were playing that day) are warming up, the Peruna handlers also warm up with some sprints up and down the field, and one of them just tripped and went [deleted] over breakfast." To this day, I'm not sure what that means, but it sure was funny.

How do yall rank the Ponies' radio guys?

I'm going to be at about 35,000 feet when that show airs - can someone tape it or take notes or something to post a transcript of what Coach Bennett says?

I like Mark "Kickballhead" Folliwell the best.
Phillips is solid, as was Linn, but Folliwell's enthusiasm, prepwork and voice kind of did it for me. I love him on the Mavs broadcasts.
