It appears that Brian Kelly, the HC at Cincinnati, is "disappointed" that he and the University failed to reach a "new deal." Could he be a candidate here? I know he is supposedly in the mix for Michigan.

Kelly wouldn't be a bad Plan B.

Kelly spent a lot of time at a press conference slamming the CUSA earlier this year. Something to the effect that UC would never be on tv as much or gain the ranking if they were in the CUSA. I think he is angling to get more money or the Michigan job. I just hope that USM slams them.

Kelly is a donkeyhat, but he wins. He'd never step back from BCS even for $$$$. He's got too much ego for that. I suspect, he's slow playing Cincy to either get more money or he'll stay and jump for the first available BCS job that winks at him. UCLA and Arkansas would probably look in his direction if the Maize and Blue folks don't. And the folks with the Golden Dome will be looking in a year.

No. Someone who wants to re-do his contract after the first of FIVE years is nothing but trouble.
