Anyone know of his whereabouts or what he is doing right now. Working on plan B I hope. I would not be surprised if PJ stays put...with a raise to boot.

Copy:
PJ is deep in thought. We have no idea where his agent is. ..... And where is Orsini?

All I'll say is that is very unusual to have a coach, who intnds to leave, return to his team after visiting 3 schools and then say I want to think about it.

Orsini is on campus. He was just spotted outside HTSC. I wonder if someone has grown a large enough pair to approach him.

I'm not saying he won't surprise me and come, but this move has never made any sense from PJs perspective. Not a compelling enough lure in the end to have him turn his back on Navy, his players, and his friends in Annapolis. So often a guy considers this stuff and then it all hits home at the 11th hour. I hope we didnt put all of our eggs in this basket because this was very predictable. Even if he comes, its obvious it was never a done deal during the process by any stretch.

by the way, if PJ declines, we need to name a coach within one day, if not hours. At least make it look like the guy we get wasnt a total afterthought.

Oddball: Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Very busy at work, but just catching up with all these posts. Can't believe we don't have someone yet -- Totally agree we better have our #2 ready to go if PJ does not come thru. Also totally agree and pray we didn't put all our eggs in one basket.

I posed this question a week or so ago and got no response. What have been Orisini's true successes since he has been here ? Is it Crum Center ? I outlined how I made Crum dontation and athletic department didn't even have it booked correctly until my accountant and I caught it.

Again, I am a big, big Orsini supporter and have even talked to him in the past but he has been here awhile and still seems like our attention to details has not come around yet. Hope that is not the case with this coaches search.

Maybe it is because of things beyond his control (and probably is) but I think we should have named a coach by now. For those who care, Tulsa, Houston, and Rice have all had a presence down here last few weeks and for playoff games and who is missing -- you guessed it, SMU ? Really glad we didn't go after Marcus Wright who will now play in the All-American bowl, then go to Tulsa.

I don't know about that. He'd be forever thought of as the second choice. I'd think you'd want to find the guy quickly, if you don't already have him, and then sit on him for a week.
