Jim Donnan lists Paul Johnson as favorite for Georgia Tech Coaching Vacancy
Posted in ACC, Coaching Changes, ESPN by Matthew Strickland on December 6th, 2007
Today on the radio, Jim Donnan of ESPN fame listed Paul Johnson as the clear front runner for the Georgia Tech job. We reported earlier that Paul Johnson is Georgia Tech’s first choice and if the two can reach an agreement, we could hear an announcement as early as Monday. Donnan said this of Johnson, “If I’m an ACC coach I do not want Johnson to get that job, having to prepare for that offense could be big trouble.â€

Jim Donnan said Tommy Bowden was the next coach at Arkansas, too.

Whatever Dennis Dodd reported the same thing about PJ and SMU last week. Doesn't mean jack. It's just speculation. All we know is that we are both after him and it is giving me an ulcer.

Hey, I didn't write the article. Just putting it out there.
My main point was that someone is saying this whole PJ clusterfrick could spill into Monday. I say cut the guy loose before we keep going down this rabbit trail.

As long as SMU believes Plan A is in play, Plan A should continue.

No clue. And nobody knew who Plan A was until Monday, either. If we believe Orsini is smart, you have to believe that the next time Orsini calls Plan B, it won't be the first time.

You seem to keep with the party line and have your money on Orsini to pull it out. It is getting harder and harder for me to keep the faith. But, ok, if you say so.

I'll rip Orsini when the play is over but not when the ball is still in play.
The panic is induced by the silence, which is something I have complained about for some time to anyone that will listen and unfortunately to some people that apparently aren't listening.
