If Bowden is in the mix at GT (including an interview) it seems to me that would make it easier for SMU to land Johnson. Or, perhaps, Johnson has already dropped out of the running at GT. I'm sure Bowden would go to GT for less than the 2 mill Johnson is demanding.

I hear he goes by "NewJacketsFan" on the GT board. Just recently moved to the area for 'work'.

Report: Terry Bowden talks to Georgia Tech
Broadcaster and ex-Auburn coach looking to return to sidelines

Terry Bowden might be looking to leave the broadcast booth and return to the sidelines.

According to a report on CBSSports.com, Bowden interviewed for the open job at Georgia Tech earlier this week.

The report said that Navy coach Paul Johnson was the favorite for the Georgia Tech job, but Bowden had "a great meeting" with Tech officials.

According to the report, Bowden, who left Auburn in 1998, has also been connected to the SMU job, and could become a candidate to replace Karl Dorrell at UCLA.
