Mike Shula? Yuck.
He was wildly successful in his homecoming at UA.

2 million a year changes Plan B. There are alot of great coaches that would like that deal. Hopefully SMU can get a coach this time without just setting a high price for some other school. Remember, SMU needs to see who really WANTS TO COACH here. IT seemed obvious to me that PJ/or his wife really wanted to be in the southeast where he is from.

I'm sure the potential for failure is THE REASON why everything has been kept so hush, hush. But I think it's probably time Orsini put something on his blog to address the Pony Nation.
Better yet, he should post it on PONYFANS where people will actually see it.

All I know is that SMU got completely used by Johnson. Johnson never had any intention of coming to SMU. SMU needs to strike back with an even better coach, otherwise it will be pretty depressing.

I invite the ponyfans to post your qualifications here so that we can begin our evaluation of you even if Orsini doesn't.

I hope SO follows the same advice I was given when I applied for college admission: Pick 3 dream schools you would like to get admitted to but won't, 3 schools you would like to get admitted to and likely will and 3 schools you know you will get admitted to.
Are we still shooting for: (1) dream coach; (2) solid, acceptable, safe coach; or (3) anybody who will say "yes". Any one or all of these?
I HATE the University of Texas!

Good idea. Let's let other schools know what we are doing. It was fun having GTech and Duke in the hunt.

Schottenhiemer will be coaching in the NFL next year. I know people on the search committee who reached out to him to see if he was interested.

If we go that route I would rather have Mr. Coach Kline. He's got that Roy Orbison tattoo.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?
