If SMU does not get Johnson, OK. This does not mean we have to go to a lesser coach. Get in the mix with Steve Marucci/UCLA etc. Pay $ 3m. He is proven, clean, WOW hire. With the $ SMU has, SMU might get him. Just get a quick offer and a quick timeline. If PJ is worth 2.2 m$. S. Marucci is worth 3 million. The exta 800,000.00 is just a few pennies to some.

Interesting.....It would be much easier to win here than UCLA, but I think someone like that will only go BCS.

So, has anyone realized that there are now even more contenders on the block--NAVY and probably Rutgers?

Who knows. There is this factor. Who ever gets SMU back on top will be a hero to many. Steve may want to prove he can coach. He can.
