Good riddance

I can think of 5 coaches off the top of my head who I would rather have but SMU doesn't have the guts to hire any of them.

Hello S Fla assistant coach. The plane was in Miami.

USF is in Tampa. Hello Howard Schnellenberger.

You know, I thought about that too. However, he's been building that program over at FAU since ground level. Not sure that he'd want to cut out on that.

I didn't want those grapes anyhow!

We need a real "sour grapes" thread. Maybe this could be it.

Either way I didn't think that we should pay 2.2 Million for those grapes. I'm really surprised that GT paid 2.3. I wonder if the thought of losing out to SMU caused them to overpay beyond what they thought he was worth just to save face?

It's not sour grapes on my part. I really never wanted him. I'm glad he took the money and ran. Good luck to him. I'm not mad in the least.

Schnellenberger is a drunk isn't he?

I was told he was drunk during OU practices while he was in Norman.

One year at OU and they said Bye Bye

Perhaps it was wishful thinking, but I was hoping that was the reason that the plane was in Miami for a day. I was trying to find any flights from Miami to Tampa. Also, I wondered if there was more than one coach being looked at in Florida and it would have made sense to rent a car. Personally, I think SO may have known the answer from PJ before they had landed back in Baltimore.
