There is a coach with the following resume that wants the SMU job.

14 years as a division 1 coach
4 Time Coach of the year in his conference
Won 3 Conference titles
Won 4 Division titles
Had an average 79% graduation rate
Won a national title as an Offensive Coordinator
Was a national coach of the year winner
Was a finalist for the Eddie Robinson Award
Has at least 6 of his recruitng classes ranked in the top 20

And we are not going to interview him. His name. Gary Barnett!

Did you see his comments today about the Colorado law suit settlement? He may not have done anything "wrong", but he certainly knows how to make it sound BAD.

You don't like Barnett because he Spanked the Huskers on a yearly basis.

Barnett was 3-3 against Nebraska and that was under Solich and Callahan. Not a terrific feat. The Nebraska fans don't like him because he said that we insulted his players by running a no-huddle offense. (Hence, the whining slam.)

But I never said I don't like him. I want him to be the SMU coach. I think he is the best available and best fit for SMU of all that have been mentioned, and in my opinion, if we don't get him or someone better, Steve-O has utterly failed.
