It worked for Ohio State

Any thoughts of going the 1-AA route. Jim Tressel was successful at that level before being hired by OSU. Maybe someone like Matt Viator from McNeese State or Bobby Hauck at Montana?

Didn't work for Navy either (lost to Delaware 59-52) earlier this year.

I watched that Deleware/Navy game and that Deleware Coach runs a very impressive offense. I'm kinda surprised some team doesn't grab him.

That Delaware team is I-A Transfer U. Not surprised they're as successful as they are.

Some team will and they'll be glad they did. He knows what he's doing.

He is a UD alum, so I'm sure there's a part of him that would make it hard to leave, but when he does, he'll make some school very happy.

btw, Delaware's game starts in 10 minutes on ESPN, if you're interested.

Hey, Eagle01, how about we hire Chris Hatcher? He is an offensive genius.

Go read his full resume and tell me you would hire him. No, you wouldn't.

Jerry Moore has won the last two DivII championships and is poised to win another this year. the worst he has ever finished in that conference is 4th

Ummm, no he's not. Nothing to see there. Move along. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Seriously, if he leaves, we'd be on our fourth coach in four years. There'd be riots in the streets (ok, anger posted on message boards) if that were to happen.

He spoke to GT officials for about 30 minutes over the phone about their job and you'd have thought the world was coming to an end at Georgia Southern.

It's 1-AA (or FCS now), not Division II.

Sorry, it's hard enough to get any respect at our level without being compared to Division II schools.

Would someone explain to me the problem with the guy from App. ST? Somebody said look at his resume and I admit I haven't looked at it recently but tell me he hasn't done something very impressive.

Also, I read the comment about how we tried this route before with Cavan and it didn't work very well. That is complete ignorance, Cavan at best had a decent record in order to make the playoffs.....the guy from App. St. has one multiple NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!!! Does not even compare......apples to oranges.

I like it, lets pursue this guy but then again what do I know.
