O' Where O' Where has Steve-O's Blog gone......

Postby Statler » Sun Dec 09, 2007 10:53 pm

November 15, 2007...that last Orsini blog.....

This means:

1. SMU didn't pay its DSL bill.
2. Steve's PC has been lost or stolen.
3. He doesn't have anything to write because he has no more options.
4. If he wrote something, then that would ruin the Great Orsini Snipe Hunt.
5. He is afraid that someone might hack into his blog and track it like the plane.

He cannot think of how to break the news that he goofed up with Paul Johnson. So he is frozen and won't say anthing. Maybe he could tell us all he is pleased with the progress of the search and it is right were he expected it to be now.

I think PJ stole Orsini's laptop during his visit.

Yikes, what's up with that. I mean I love Forrest Gregg but I can't imagine bringing him back to coach. Him and Barbarra are quite comfortable in Colorado Springs. Although, I can assure you Mike Leach or Les Miles would not of run the score up on us with Forest on the sidelines.

I remember the Baylor game in 1989 when they were up 40 some points and Grant Teafe (spelling) ran a fake punt for a touch down. Forrest was yealling and Grant calling him a SOB, I thought he was going to go crazy. Grant slowed things down right after that.

Don't expect to hear anything. I have said this before but everyone jumped on me and said i was wrong. Orsini & Co will not talk much until its done because of what went down with Johnson.

I remember that Baylor game very well too. After that, I lost all respect for Grant Teaff. He ranks with Jack Pardee in my book.

Nothing "went down" with Johnson(an unfortunate phrase.) He was never signed sealed and delivered in the first place. Johnson said he'd look at his options at the end of the season which he has done for several seasons. In the end, the SMU job wasn't good enough. Dig?

Without totally defending Teaff, the punter was trained from day 1 to read the defense of the punt return team and in certain situations that occur, he was to run the fake. This was actually a good example of a kid well coached doing what he was trained to do. That said, he should not have done it and he was lightly reprimanded by Teaff for the fake. I find it hard to blame the coach for the action of a player doing what he was trained to do in practice. Sure Teaff could have told him before going on the field not to fake the punt, but he had no idea that SMU was going to line up in the manner that we did in order to have the play called.
