Since we have not heard much Sat, Sun, and now Monday after
the PJ turndown last Friday......is it more likely we are pointing
towards an NFL guy?

It is more likely there is a complete lack of interest in this job

An NFL guy wouldn't be my first choice. Moving back to College from the NFL doesn't appear to be working out to well these days (Callahan at Nebraska, Gailey at Georgia Tech, Wanstadt at Pitt, Weis at Notre Dame and so on). I am sure someone will post a list of NFL to College successes but just briefly thinking about it seems like there are more failures these days.

Much rather have Bowden, Barnett, or Neuhiesal..but if we are throwing NFL names out there here are two:

Bob Bratkowski- Offensive Coordinator Cincinnati Bengals, previously OC for Miami Hurricanes national championship teams under Dennis Erickson..hell of a guy that we could actually get while the Bengals are down.

Al Saunders- Offensive guru now at the Redskins and formerly at the Chiefs. His son and assistant was an SAE at SMU..maybe this is why N844GF was at Dulles on Sunday?

The anti-coach! Since he has only been on this board a little over 2 months, biggin is probably either a long time board poster under an assumed name, a teenager or someone from NT or TCU. In any event, the sole purpose of his posts are to pull our chain. No redeeming merit.

Boko the Texas State Bobcat is mauling Hook-Em, the Longhorn mascot at the Texas State/Texas volleyball game a couple of weeks back. The guys on Hornfans really love that picture, thought you guys would too since I know how much we all LOVE Texas (NOT).

Orsini indicated today in DMN blog that we might not be in that big of a hurry with the recruiting dead period coming up. Man, I don't want to believe this.....Who is he after ? Mike Shula would be OK...... who else could he be interested in ?

So you're another who apparently thinks that if you repeat the same crap over .... and over .... and over again, then people somehow will start to believe you?

With the money involved, among other things, there are plenty of coaches who will be interested. Steve-O is under zero obligation to update us along the way. His job is to hire a coach, and if he's not contacting the Bowdens and Barnetts and Masons of the world, he must think whoever he's working on instead is better. Will be able to say yes or no in a few years.
