someone actually brought up an interesting point on mustangmaniacs.com. Randy Ross was recruiting coordinator at Alabama when Mike Shula was there. Hmm

If they wanted him they could have approached him weeks ago. He is available but I don't think Orsini wants a coach who is unemployed. I think he wants to hire a currently employed coach. Otherwise many of the big name coaches who are out of the business would have at least been contacted about the position. Several are qualified and without baggage. We are all wasting our time with this. Im done speculating.

Shula is on Jacksonville's staff. He's not unemployed.

Right now he's our recruiting coordinator. I think his title this year has been Director of Football Operations.

Has he been retained while no one else was? Is that the significance?

Is Ross able to engage recruits in the same manner as a coach? If so, why did Orsini have to get special permission, which supposedly expired back in early November?

I believe he was Alabama's Recruiting Coordinator for 17 years so he is experienced. Think its just temporary but he is qualified

by the way, I'll take Shula, just get him in here and start recruiting. why does being in the nfl mean a delay? Mike Sherman?
