You Think SHULA has at least been contacted? (unlike Bowden)

I mean, according to DMN Bowden and NL have not been contacted, but you think SHULA has? I am a huge Shula fan, and hope we get him. I think his time in the NFL could be really beneficial.

I was listening to Bill Curry on ESPN radio this morning. The game is this: School(s) contact agent, agent negotiates and talks to coach's current employer about release or buyout, negotiates with new school(s), agent talks to coach about deals on the table, coach tells agent to keep negotiating, or break them off, when a deal gets looking good, school gets permission to talk to coach from old school, contacts coach, and hires coach. Throughout the entire process, coach can say honestly that he has not been contacted by school X about working for them until the final stage. So, when coaches say they have not been contacted about the SMU job, it doesn't mean that their agent hasn't been contacted.

Nice summary EastStang, thanks. Sure makes sense - and provides the coach with a way out of the questions!

you can add in one more layer of separation with Eastman Bodine acting on behalf of the 'new' school. in this case, SMU has retained EB to go make these inquiries to the coaches' agents.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
