Anyone think Shanahan....

....is throwing in the towel on this season already? Looks like he's trying not to make the playoffs to get a higher draft position. That would be the second year in a row he's done that. I've heard a lot of rumblings from Denver fans that want his head already!

He would be great but it's not happening.

Ha! That was not intended to be related to the SMU search. Watching the game right now. Was just stating the Donkey fans are getting restless. I think he's got one more year to make it back to the playoffs, and it looks like he's actively trying not to make it again.

wouldnt really say that its the sencond year in a row hes done this...they had a chance to make the playoffs last year by winning the last game of the year but they lost...

i dont know if they're giving up. i dont think anybody could do much with a second year above average QB, no RB, one receiver and an old defense

yes, thats their problem...RB position is inconsistent because of injuries but they DO have depth...Marshall is the only WR and they dont really use the TE as much as they use to with Elway and Sharpe. im sure they'd love to pick up Glen Dorsey

Switching to a quarterback who has never played when you are still in playoff contention? Wasn't a huge Plummer fan, but I think it is safe to say that if Shanahan had designs on making the playoffs last year, he would have waited to pull him.

Champ Bailey has been hurt all year too, but man they just look terrible out there.

close judgement call in my mind...everyone knew Plummer was done in Denver, no matter what the outcome was...Shanahan made a decision that im sure tons of Broncos Execs wanted too...if they made the playoffs anyway, why not let the rook get some experience and put some notches on his belt...but it was a tough call but the right move was made in my mind

plummer's an idiot for not playing for the bucs. he could have had 2-3 starts by now with Garcia's injury and if he would have impressed, may have been able to unseat him for a playoff run. heck, he may have been able to beat him out in training camp. now hes sitting at home in Iowa watching the broncos get wooped

Iowa? I thought he just stayed in Denver. But isn't he from Idaho?

booooooooooo, did any of you watch the game I watched. Jay Cutler is the main reason for their problems. He has a hell of an arm but no vision. I can not count how many times he threw the ball in to triple coverage when martinez or walker were wide open. He looked for marshall every single play. I am surprised the defense didn't pick up on it earlier.
