Who says this board is dead?

I have a suggestion to make.

I suggest that no-one on this board knows what's going to happen, or when it's going to happen. It has been a long time, a painful time, but I contest whether it has sucked the life out of the fans. I don't post much, but I love my ponys and I have greatly enjoyed the activities and speculations of this board, awash with equal parts ignorance and enthusiasm. I know that I have billed far fewer hours over the past 7 weeks than I shold, and I am close to suggesting that my firm bill Steve O. for the lost productivity, but I am excited for one reason, and it will not be quelled.

Next season WILL be something new, and, however daunting the unknown can be, there will be new life in the team, regardless of who is calling the plays. I know very little about football except that I LOVE it, but I know about sports, but a clean slate can be a mighty foundation.

We need to be positive because even if we don't think much of the next hire, the players are hungry to succeed and they will give their heart and soul to the next HC. We should too. Credentials aren't everything, and leaders can emerge at any time, sometimes they just need people willing to listen.

I apologize to those of you who read this poorly conceived and rambling posting but I just love my Mustangs.

Good post. SMU will turn this college football thing on it's head. SMU will blow this world away when the new coach is hired.

I'm up for us closing the football board for a week to take a needed break, regain our force, and come back with rejuvenated posts. I think our posts are repetitive, tiresome, and lacking. Kinda like this one.

sure, if you close down the football board then we'll just post in the general board, and so on and so forth

Which would be cool, because we can talk about other things. Anyone wanting to talk football would have to speak in code, which might help us create a new language and a new world order.

I'm up for us closing the football program for a few years to take a needed break, regain our force, and come back with rejuvenated recruits. I think our seasons are repetitive, tiresome, and lacking. Kinda like this one.

I think we will have to get used to it. probably 3-4 weeks, or more, before a deal is done. So we will sit and post about nonsense for a while. When this thing is done, I expect to leave the board. For a while. Maybe the library will be announced soon and we will have zillions of posters.
