LA sports radio is reporting that Chow gave a bad interview and he is out of the running. He also gave a bad interview at Stanford a few years back. UCLA seems to be down to Neuhisel, Harbaugh's brother, and June Jones as the dark horse

Lane Kiffin was being mentioned for Arkansas. I wonder why his name hasn't come up for UCLA? That seems like a good fit.

Maybe we've already got Kiffin under contract

Because its a challenge! Also, would YOU want to live in Michigan? (Its a HELL of a lot warmer here than it is in central Michigan. I'll bet they are praying for some GLOBAL WARMING right about now! )

The sure thing is $2 million/year for 5 years. That comes to $10 million secured by a written contract. Sounds pretty SURE to me! Plus you get to live in Dallas, which is in the sunbelt with a relatively low cost of living and NO state income tax! That last item is a SIGNIFICANT advantage of taking a job in Texas versus a lot of other locals that hasn't been mentioned on this board!

HE TURNED DOWN MICHIGAN STATE, they offered him A LOT OF MONEY, dont know the exact figure but he STUCK HIS NOSE UP and said hes better than coaching Michigan State...HE WONT COME HERE, regardless...pay him Nick Saban-Charlie Weis numbers and he still wont come here...its a lose lose situation for him if he doesnt go to a sure thing school like UCLA. this is a guy who wants to get back as a HC in the NFL...sure he can turn smu around maybe...but hes not coming here

Maybe, maybe not. I don't know if he will, and I know that you don't know either, but financially we can offer a HELL of a lot more than a lot of other locals just matching their offer!
