Is this ever going to end? I wish we would be told just a tidbit of what is happening in "the search."

But we have been told. THE "Best Coach Available in America" is being courted. Can't wait to meet him.

Gary Patterson to West Virginia? Short turnaround time in Telluride...perhaps the Frogs are meeting a potential candidate in Telluride, to avoid the obviousness. Who could it be? Lubick? Calhoun? Whittingham at Utah?

Baseless speculation is fun :)

Here's our SMU connection:

Harriet Meiers--failed Supreme Court nominee--was a director (as of March 2006) and served on the executive board of the SMU Law School.

And Stewart Carrell, a former member of their board of directors, went to undergrad at SMU.

Orsini met with Colts owner and SMU alum Jim Irsay so that he could tap into Irsay's connections in the football coaching world

Ha! That actually might not be too far-fetched!

He wanted Irsay to put in a good word to the owner of the whatever team's coach we are courting. Sort of like what Jerry Jones did for Arkansas.

Has that been rumored somewhere?
With all due respect to our Froggy Friends, it would be awfully hard for a top-10 team to sell that to its alumni after the season Froggy High has thrown together.
