Worst Case Scenario

How bad does it make us look if we are...

A. 1st to fire our coach
B. Last to hire a new coach ( obviously not going to be a WOW hire)
C. Lose our entire recruiting class due to lack of communication or knowledge of what is going on

How many commitments do we have left at this point?

I think a much more likely scenario is: we hire a very good coach and he hits the recruiting trail hard and steals a bunch of commitments

Why do you think that is "much more likely"?

Isn't that pretty much exactly what has happened?

At this point, even the casual observer will have to say "WOW, they finally hired a damn coach!"

good point. I want a good coach and asap, but we are slowly running out of options. That is why I said worst case scenario.... I am still holding out hope that Brett Favre is going to retire to come coach SMU

Dont think that's the case. I believe the case is more like who want the d$%# job??!!

You gotta feel for Orsini. 20 years of Turner, the Board, & Copeland mismanagement has been dropped squarely into his lap!!!

Because "Lose our entire recruiting class due to lack of communication or knowledge of what is going on " is so very improbable if we are hiring a top coach.
