We are losing an entire recruiting class with this search that will only result in a few head coaches getting pay raises and new contracts. Hire Franchione, Neuheisel or Barnett this week and lets try and salvage the recruiting process.

Attn. Fran,Neuheisel and Barnett
Now that SMU is desperate only agree to terms if you can have free JUCO recruiting restrictions. Also, demand that academic standards for athletes mirror Cougar High. Another words box of crayons is all you need. Demand atlete friendly majors and the kind of classes that BUS and I needed.
You have this university over a barrel so why need make this a winnable job.

I am sure there are probably a lot of coaches that were approached that said thanks but no thanks due to SMU's anti-competitive model in place. Why else is no coach named yet? Pathetic.

What have we really lost? IF the previous regime had any lined up, they're still there - who else would take them? (oh yeah, Idaho Community College).
