June Jones to SMU on LA Radio

talked about the rumor for a solid 5 minutes. That is the longest that SMU has been mentioned on sports radio in Los Angeles since they went to the Rose Bowl.
They were very dismissive the the rumor, why would anybody go to SMU, especially a guy like Jones, SMU is a coach killer, etc. But they did admit that June is unhappy with his pay and the facilities upgrade he has been promised for years. They said he might just bolt because he is pretty fed up with Hawaii

The mentality of the Hawaiians is socialist. Doesn't surprise me at all that they would avoid spending money on upgrades to their facilities.

Except - he is right - they are basically socialist. Major Nanny state out there. Very happy to be on the dole and not that kind to those that create the wealth.

Dude, you need to edit the title of this thread.
I nearly broke my kneecap reaching for the computer when I saw this - thought you were saying that someone out there was reporting that Coach Jones IS coming to SMU.
