Gumbel on NFL Network is the worst by far. Last time I watched a game with him announcing, I cranked the iPod instead.

Agreed. Gumball doesn't know his [deleted] from the hole in the ground. Completely worthless!

Anyone who refers to "Rick Romo" after the Cowboys win over the Packers doesn't deserve to broadcast above the pop warner level.

I'd have to say yes. That guy is absolutely awful. Musberger could call his grandchildren's Pop Warner game and have you believe it was USC/Ohio State.

Musberger is so old, the age spots on the side of his face looked like the Hawaiian Islands on tonight's telecast. However, he is still better than Bryant Gumble, Chris Collinsworth, John Madden (not Madden in his prime, but Madden now), and Tony Siragusa.

To mention Musburger in the same breath as Cosell is a crime. Cosell irritated but he never put anybody to sleep. That 4th Q [deleted] tonite with Musburger was awful. This is the Holiday Bowl-game is never over until the final onside kick-and the game should have been treated that way by the annnouncers. I've seen about 15 Holiday Bowl comebacks in my life.

I will have to take your word for it. I have niever made it until the 4th quarter of a Musburger called game. I loved Cosell by the way.

Yes, Herbstreit was desperate to get out of there.
Mussberger is so bad, they even invented a drinking game after him:

Agreed. At one point, with almost 8 minutes left, Musburger said something to the effect of "Mack Brown has once again coached Texas to a 10 win season." He was inferring the game was already over from the point the 4th quarter begain.

It was. ASU never lead in that game.
