Jethro would be tough to beat if he was ever at a school with a pipeline to some talent. Los Angeles v. Lubbock hmm. Seriously, I don't understand why more schools don't go after Leach.

They are just as fed up as we are over there. Talking about John Fox as well.

Yeah, but they've only been 3 or 4 weeks without a coach, and their assistant coach, Dewayne Walker, is still there recruiting. Big differences.

The guys on ESPN Live really like Walker.
They rant & rave about what a great recruiter he is & think he should be the choice for the HC.

Very simple....Two words....pc...
UCLA has the same "issue" (to use a pc term) as SMU..it is called political correctness. The UCLA chancellor really doesn't wan't RN as it is not PC. Gerald Turner doesn't want RN or Barnett or DF as they are not PC. Turner has a legacy of all the new and very nice buildings and he doesn't want to take a chance on his reputation being soiled by a football "problem."
The reason this is taking so long is that Turner desires a PC hire while Steve-O wants a winner. Thus the stalemate.
Darth knows the ways of the dark side and this is what is happening...
Remember..."when it comes to SMU Football....what can go wrong...will go wrong...."

John Harbaugh got a second intervew today at UCLA. His brother is HC at Stanford.
There are concerns about Neuheisel's past. The NCAA put Colorado on two years' probation for violations when Neuheisel was coach, though all were secondary violations. He was also fired as head coach at Washington for taking part in an NCAA basketball betting pool but later received a $4.5-million settlement in a wrongful termination suit.

Leach would be great out there if he wants to take a big pay cut.
