In the first quarter, about a minute spot following Big Bad John song. I'm sure it's an ISP thing because SMU and TCU are both ISP products. But it was ironic.

Pony up.

He's everywhere.

Saw Doh today @ a local HS BB tourney. I was very impressed that he was @ the tourney. Obviously he's trying to make things happen with the local recruits.

I'm a big fan of Doh!

According to some, apparently Doherty doesn't care about recruiting this area because he's too good for it.

We are lucky to have him.
I just wish the schedule was more attractive.

glad he was there, but what kind of message does sitting directly behind the Highland Park bench talking with Parkies the entire game against Kimball send? Right or wrong, I can tell you the message it sent to alot of people in Ellis Davis Fieldhouse. This may sound like a little thing but when you are SMU it matters.

Ok, since you know every move that he made -- even the ones you didn't see him make -- please tell us the message. This analysis is beyond ridiculous.

Heaven forbid, he talk to people. And if he knows them, he should give them the brush off. My god, this reading into everything is just a crock.

do i have to spell it out for you? Are you that much of a stupid [deleted] fool? I made an observation that is pretty easy to understand, and it is factual.

There are 3 legit D-1 prospects on Kimball, maybe more. HP has none. Why would you sit behind the HP bench as if you are supporting them? Its a perception whether you like it and can comprehend it or not.

I feel sorry for you when you have to use [deleted] to reinforce your point. And if you have to resort to insults in this discussion about comprehending this, fine. Go for it.

And is Doherty supporting HP? That's a pretty strong accusation. Did he jump up and down when HP did something good? Did he scream at officials when a call went against them? Did high five other fans on big plays?

Do you know if Doherty went to other tournaments to scout players this weekend? Do you know if Doherty has already had extended recruiting efforts in Kimball? Do you know how much contact Doherty has had with the Kimball coach? Do you know how much contact Doherty has had with the other Kimball players?

Did you read the lips of these conversations?

I think the only people that would care about this perception business are people like you who apparently are more interested in watching other people and love to gossip than watching the game.

I'm going to go back to what I said last week. You don't like Doherty! The tone of your comments leads one to suggest you lean that way.

That's fine, too. Just come out and admit it. Let's bring back Jimmy Tubbs and see all those DISD kids come strolling on to our campus.

once again its a valid observation. Doherty presented himself in a public situation tonight. Do you accept that? In that public situation he created an impression in the community, as with all public situations.

SMU has an image problem and a perception problem in much of the community. Is that news to you? That SMU is just part of the Bubble, simply snotty and elitist. Heard that one before? Let me tell you, 95% of the public sees it that way.

I couldn't care less who the man talks to and what he says in private conversations. I am talking about a simple matter of perception in a very important venue in South Dallas. By the way, I hope Doh is here for 20 years, retires from SMU and takes us to an elite 8. That hope is nothing but a hollow wish if we don't connect with the power programs in Dallas and soon.

yeah right, racist, thats it. Laughable. some of you people are in such denial and thick headed its amazing. by the way, I didn't raise the subject about Doh being at the DISD tourney. I only responded to the Patton sarcastic eyeroll and comment about Doh and local recruiting. Hey, if you can't see the point about perception and SMU, i can't help you. No wonder SMU is where it is, most of the fanbase is as clueless as the school has been for years.
