OK, the more I think about this, the more I am intrigued by the opportunity that developed today with the firing of Billick. Talk about a WOW. If SMU could land him, Orsini would instantly move back to my good list and all would be forgiven. I would even allow posters like perunapower and IPP to say "I told ya so" without challenge (even though we would all know it would be dumb luck).

Think about it--Brian Billick. This guy has a Superbowl Ring with the Ravens, went 13-3 LAST YEAR in the NFL, essentially built the Ravens from scratch, went to a Superbowl without a real quarterback nonetheless, has college coaching experience, was known for an explosive offense with the Minnesota Vikings as OC, etc., etc. WOW!!!!!

The only drawback I see would be the increased time it might take to put together a college football staff, coaches and recruiting team. But again, this would be a WOW and, in my opinion, worth the wait of these last 10 agonizing weeks.

I'm sure it would be tough to convince him to come to SMU (he probably made a lot more than $2M with the Ravens and all of the other issues associated with SMU), but if we could land him. WOW!! Just WOW!!!

Go get him Orsini. I will even backdate a leftover Christmas Card and send it to you. :D

I would much rather see a former college HC such as Barnett, Fran, Bowden or current college HC such as Gill.

However, I wouldn't complain if he was the choice.

Do you know if you turn WOW upside down it spells MOM?
MOM doesn't want Jones as the HC.

Our last coach with a Super Bowl ring did not fare so well. I would rather get a recruiting class championship coach.

Brian Billick would be an excellent hire. SMU could never get him I'm afraid.

Stevie O has all of you smoking crack. Billick, Millick, Trillick and no other HC from the NFL is coming to SMU. Have a drink. Wish in the new year and wake the [deleted] up. I know this is a message board, but the message you are telling people is that you are an idiot.

Oh, I am an idiot, bigdiksuckingdouchebag? If you mean that because I never attempted to get a few crack-addicted baby mommas and live off the welfare rolls like you, maybe so. But I'm the one with the SMU degree and you're the one who plays nintendo at Wal-Mart, right?

bigdaddy how miserable are you going to be when Orsini hires
June Jones or Fran and blows your "nobody wants this job" outta
the water?

have you already began crafting some kind of "save face" responses?

btw bigdaddy...Happy New Year!

Yea. I think we all are working out of the same craft shop. We don't have a coach.
