Read the posts on this board, and see where people are coming from.

Some guys are winners.

And some are losers.

Right. Enthusiasm and optimism = wrong.
Scream that the sky is falling until someone believes you, and then pat yourself on the back.

Probably if we had stayed with Rossely he would have turned things around, albeit in the WAC and C-USA.

Shouldn't we all feel sorry for ol' stallion for being such a sad person, and yet he is so happy to be sad. It makes his day that is able to reconfirm how awful we have been over the past twenty years. What a supporter he is.

I think the correct statement is that you are often wrong but never in doubt.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a whole lot that Stallion, or anyone else, can do about the situation at SMU on his or her own. Our university, being private, is in a position to prevent access and censor any attempt at vocalizing dissent. They have taken this approach on pretty much everything, athletics included, at least ever since I was at SMU in the early 90s. They even censor SMUAD blog responses!!!!!

This message board is about the only place one can voice dissent with the athletic department and the sorry state of affairs that is SMU football. Randy Stagen started the Campus Voice newspaper back when I was in school to combat the white-washed, PC Daily Campus. I know the Voice is now gone and I don't know if there is anything that has ever taken its place.

Last I heard, he was a motivational speaker/life coach or something. Anyone know if he's still doing that?

I don't know what happened to him since his Dallas entertainment magazine (I can't think of the name) was either bought out by the Observer or went out of business.

The Met was bought by the Observer and shut down.
Elimination of competition.
