I'm just not sure what is. This Hawaii independent link has a story from the Hawaii Scout Board saying June Jones will not return to Hawaii next year. Anybody with access

I wonder if this has anything to do with it? This is fresh, from the rumormill site.

West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin is becoming increasingly more active in the West Virginia football coaching search. According to the Charleston Daily Mail, Manchin is pushing for a big name candidate in place of the current front-runners, which includes CMU head coach Butch Jones. This could be great news to many CMU fans, as losing Jones would be a tough blow after just hiring him one year ago. – MLive.com

This rumor goes on to talk about them wanting Saban.

from the uh board

user: Manoa

"Out for quick jog and ran into freind who told me JJ is not coming back after this season. My friend does not know where JJ is going, but was told by two movers and shakers in this town and big time boosters that JJ is not coming back. I know this guy well and we both know the two sources well. I pressed hard and expressed doubt, but in the end my friend said everyone was sure. I didn't put much stock in the rumours, but this is pretty credible stuff-- I still have some doubts and hope it is not true, but where there is smoke there is fire-- something is going on."

apparently the Mayor has not been informed. A Parade Honoring a Former Coach?

Honoring June Jones in Honolulu
January 1, 2008
Announced by Mayor Mufi Hannemann last night at the Cajun-Warrior bash, this season and the Warrior football program would not be anywhere without the great work by June Jones and his coaching staff. To help honor this great man, the City & County of Honolulu will celebrate by holding a parade on January 20 in Honolulu. No plans have been set yet, but won’t it be THAT much sweeter when the Warriors beat the Georgia Bulldogs to go undefeated in 2007-2008

My roommate heard on the radio today that an announcement was going to be made after the game that it was June Jones for the SMU HC. The said the salary was in the range of $1.75m. He was just scanning through the channels and heard "June Jones" so he stopped and didn't pay attetion to what show it was on.

Anybody know anymore about which show it was and whether it is even credible?

Just checked out 2 WVU fansites, and no mention of JJ! Mike Doocy just said, "June Jones could be heading to the Hilltop". Could be a nerve racking 24 hours!
