I think these games would have been much more interesting than the current ones. What do yall think? Does anybody have matchups that would be better than this one or the current BCS ones?

Rose: Oklahoma vs. Ohio State
Sugar: Georgia vs. VaTech
Orange: Hawaii vs. West Virginia
Fiesta: Mizzou vs. Arizona St.
Championship: LSU vs. USC

Until they lose (which will be tonight I am guessing), Hawaii should get to play for the title. Are they the best team? NO WAY. But the system should work so that an undefeated team is the best team. I dont know why schools have an incentive to not play tough games...

The toughest team Hawaii played all year was Boise State and then Fresno State. Other than those 2, they didn't play a team ranked in the top 50 in the country. I believe their schedule ranking was near or over the 100th easiest in the nation. There is no way they should be playing for the championship.

Arizona State? Are you being serious? They absolutely did not deserve to play in a bcs game. A pretty weak texas team dismantled them.

i picked ASU because i thought it would be a good matchup against Mizzou. Do you have any other suggestions? I couldnt pick Kansas because two teams in the same conference cant play each other and i already had two Big12 teams in it (OU and Mizz). They had a rough game against a talented UT team, but had a great season other than that. Much more deserving of a BCS bowl than Illinois

that's true. and it's not like all the teams playing in bcs games were great this year. Illinois? Ridiculous...

I suppose they will change it to the EDS Bowl or American Airlines Bowl or some such.

Your point has more to do with scheduling than the BCS. In my opinion, the BCS somewhat worked with Hawaii. NO WAY based on their schedule do they deserve to playing for the title--- undefeated or not.

I am talking about the BCS, which directly relates to why teams schedule who they do. You think it kind of worked? How so? the BCS is a total disaster this year. Two blowouts today & Mizzou hammers Ark...great system.

You're point, and I'm quoting, was "but the system should work so that an undefeated team is the best team." Unless you're making an attempt at suggesting a playoff, you're point (assuming you're talking about the current system) has more to do with scheduling.

My post only said it worked in relation to Hawaii, not the entire system. Re-read my post.

I didn't notice how new you are - I am talking about the desperate need for a playoff. If you want to say the BCS worked in relation to Hawaii, explain how. I don't care if you are 12-0 or 100-0, they shouldn't be playing here.

As for the scheduling, the BCS system, as is, incentivizes teams to not schedule tough non-conf opponents (look at Hawaii). These two issues are directly related. Go look up the multiple playoff related threads.
