Would have recruiting cache. He just got fired. SMU grad rate so high, might be only school capable of understaning his epic play books...no better place to sling it around than C-USA.

I was thinking he would be a pretty good hire when news first start circulating about his firing Monday. My own apprehension is that the guy took the so-called Greatest Show on Turf and ran it into the ground as HC and didn't really inspire fear offensively in Detroit.

I think he's already secured another OC position somewhere in the NFL, according to a report on the Ticket earlier.

The guy is terrible. Wasn't he run out of St. Louis. Then he ran the Lions inept offense into the ground. Never really known for his defenses either. Bad choice.

The last year (I think) he was with the Rams, he made the comment that the Saints don't belong on the same field as the Rams...and then proceeded to get drummed by them.
