A note about big-game Bob Stoops

Should the Sooners continue to perform poorly and drop this one, that would give them 5 -- count em 5 -- consecutive bowl losses under Bob Stoops. Yes, you include the Holiday Bowl forfeit to Oregon because under NCAA rules, that was the penalty.

They would drop to 2-5 in BCS games under Bob Stoops. Their overall bowl record on Bob Stoops would drop to 3-6.

Of course, should they win, they would be 3-4 in BCS games, stop the 5-game losing streak and improve to 4-5.

I know I'm putting it out there early and the Sooners could come back, but I bet a few of you didn't know that.

Blow U!!

I think Mack Brown has won 4 straight bowls, 2-0 in BCS games and is 7-3 overall. I just thought I'd let you know that.

In his Non-BCS wins, Brown has them over Washington, Arizona State, Iowa, Mississippi State and LSU.

I loathe OU. The only thing that warms my heart is that the OU blowhard has to deal with the 2 losses in the BCS title game over the past few years.

Switzer, Gibbs, the whole crew.....

I do think Stoopes is a great coach, maybe that is the big hire we are waiting on! :D

Why does he go for 2 and then the onside kick this early?

Nice call on the on-sides kick-way to wrestle defeat from the jaws of victory

Well, that decision just handed WVA 7 points. Nice work, Bob!

Edit: If Mack Brown had done that, the media dog pile would be endless. But since it's tough guy Bob, he will be lauded for a great decision that just didn't work out. Ah, shucks, says the media.

An OU loss helps recruting in Texas

An OU loss will help recruiting for schools in Texas. An OU win helps the standing of Big 12 schools, especially in the South division. I prefer that they lose since I got a grad degree from UT after I finished at SMU.

The only big games are the ones you lose.

Big 12 Recruiting is essentially over except for schools like Baylor.

Well, Bob would know a lot about that right now.

Congratulations to Bob Stoops for changing the momentum and handing it to WVA. After cutting it to 20-15, four minutes later, its 34-15.

A coaching decision just swung this game.

I have heard from so many people how good of a motivator stoops is and how good of a coach and im not saying he isnt. I still believe he is a very good coach, but he always underperforms in the big game. And the hard thing to believe is his earlier teams had far less talent than his teams the last couple years.
