can you imagine if he brought his offense to West Virginia? i think he could make it to the national title game with White and Slaton. he's a fool for going to GT

What would that make him if he'd taken the SMU job?

foolish. he had a great thing going at Navy in my opinion. I always thought he would have been a good fit here, but would have left for a bigger job in a few years

The WVU gig wasn't open at the time.

A lot of PJ's staff was with him at Georgia Southern as well (in fact, the new O-line coach at GT was the former coach at GSU who got fired. He's been working on his Masters the past few years and was in my class this past semester, real nice guy.)

That's really swell...we like "nice guys" around here.

PJ's offense at GT will look a lot like WVU's offense now that he'll have access to the Pat White's of the world. Pat White didn't get many offers to play qb (was going to go to LSU as a d back). The qb that de-committed from GT was a pro style qb - only logical he's not going there and just a casualty of hiring PJ but not a harbinger of bad things to come for their talent level, just a different kind of talent.

I doubt PJ will line up in the shotgun spread often, if at all. PJ's offense at GT will resemble closely what he did at Navy and, for comparison's sake, what the Air Force offense looks like. The only difference from Navy to GT is he'll have more talented players executing the offense he designed.
