The WVU gig wasn't open at the time.
A lot of PJ's staff was with him at Georgia Southern as well (in fact, the new O-line coach at GT was the former coach at GSU who got fired. He's been working on his Masters the past few years and was in my class this past semester, real nice guy.)

The qb that de-committed from GT was a pro style qb - only logical he's not going there and just a casualty of hiring PJ but not a harbinger of bad things to come for their talent level, just a different kind of talent.
