I thought someone posted Fran was on standby, and would start tomorrow if it was a no-go with JJ.
Did we [deleted] him off? Did Kim say no?
If we want to recruit Texas, I really think Fran needs to be the guy. Only my opinion, but I think we instantly upgrade our recruiting, even the 300 mile radius who only go to our camp guys.

I think this is just more pressure on JJ. SMU has a lot of roads they can take. Telling JJ he is not the beginning nor the end.

Agreed. I doubt Fran is out of the loop, but I expect Martz is being floated out there just so Steinberg and Jones hear it.
After all, they're reading PonyFans.com right now, anyway.

Every new name that comes up deserves a call. I imagine Cameron's agent has a message on his machine.

I think they are. For real. Some paralegal/lawyer or assistant is looking. SMU is also looking. Be on our best behavior. I'll do my best. How often do you get to talk to these big $ guy's.

Last I heard (on PF.com of course, about two months ago) was that Kim was house hunting in the Park Cities...doubt she would say "No".

Also puts some pressure on Fran if JJ doesn't come through. Fran may think if he's our last alternative, he could squeeze a few more dollars out of the deal. Letting him know there are other candidates in the mix can be used to mitigate that.
