All these Daily Campus name leakings in the last three weeks (when before there was nothing) have the cynical part of me worried that Orsini is still struggling but has decided to let names slip in order to remind/convince everyone he's working hard. A 72 hr deadline before June Jones has made official contact with SMU or even visited? Coker and Fran so late in the process when we could've interviewed them the first day of our coaching search? But now we're after Mike Martz the same day he was fired? No news then suddenly everything is transparent? Even though we are only getting tidbits of this process, there seems to be inconsistencies and contacting timeline reports that are confusing if true...

Wasn't there a report/rumor a while back that Jones had a clandestine interview with SMU? Also a report/rumor that the contract was already prepared just waiting for signatures?

According to a Hawaii bookstore, the clandestine interview didn't happen as reported (because he didn't go to the ceremony, he book signed instead...which is odd). I don't know about a contract simply awaiting signatures but according to Jone's agent, SMU has only contacted him through unofficial contacts (James? E&B?...???).
