Note claim that SMU has already offered and then UH countered..that comes from Steinberg. Jones has told HA paper that no offer had been made..
Orsini said, "We are on the course that we charted from the very beginning, and I am pleased with the progress we are making."

Shoutout to PF.com from Steve-O
Orsini said SMU's big donors are still on board. But judging by increasingly anguished postings on message boards and blogs devoted to SMU, the team's fan base is getting restless.
"I would be worried if they didn't give a damn and didn't say a word," Orsini said. "Then you have apathy and then you can't build a top 25 program. And I want to have a top 25 program at SMU."
"Until I get my guy, I may be a failure here," he said. "I'll only care about the perception when it's over."

"Bowden said the SMU gig would be a "jewel" for the coach lucky enough to land it."
- To tell a coaching Legend who wants to be at SMU to F-OFF is unforgivable. We should have hired Bowden months ago and I still have hope we will.

I'm not sure I'd list Terry Bowden as a coaching "legend".

Maybe you meant infamous? It's like famous, but in a bad way.

no. infamous means "more than famous". This guy is not just famous, he is In Famous.

Even though I do not agree with the duration and method of the search process, I can't help but praise Orsini for his guts and unwavering nature throughout the search.
