Hawaii - SMU connection?

Postby ALEX LIFESON » Sat Jan 05, 2008 7:31 pm

An example of taking the “Who-You-Know’’ thing too far, from the Dallas Morning News: “There is an SMU-Hawaii connection. Donald Mitchell, a former SMU and Dallas Cowboys player, is the son-in-law of Hawaii QB coach Dan Morrison. Morrison’s daughter, Nikki Mitchell. The couple lives in the Dallas area.

There are also a few SMU students who hail from Hawaii.

Well it has been said that Morrison is one of JJ's assistants that might come to SMU. I would think that with his daughter here and possible grandchildren, this would be very likely.

I've met a few Hawaiians so far at SMU. I play rugby with one of them. Great guy. Hopefully Jones can attract some talent from the Islands, or maybe a few Polynesians from Samoa and other areas like he has at Hawaii. I played against several of them in high school back in California and they play the best football out there.
