Yes, he's apparently done at UH.... but this does not mean he has accepted the deal at SMU. Hopefully that's the next shoe to drop, but let's not count our chickens before they've hatched.

Why would he quit before knowing he has another job? To my knowledge he has not received an offer from any NFL team yet

I will add to what I have consistently posted:

1) it will take time

2) it will be worth the wait

3) addition - done and Monday

Well, I did like the ESPN add with Richard Simmons with Brutus the Ohio State mascot as Simmons is whipping their anchors into shape.

I doubt that. ESPNews did the story (anchor reading about it with "breaking news" on the screen) He said Jones has sent letters to friends saying he's leaving - and that he's coming to Dallas to interview for the SMU job. HE DID NOT SAY JONES HAD ACCEPTED THE SMU JOB.
ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNews are all the same thing. You wouldn't get different stories on the different channels.
