I'm not familiar with Rossley. What years was he there? If he was there in the early to mid 90's, that was when Jones was in Atlanta and I was busy coaching as well. It's difficult to follow other people when you are coaching. I've always followed June no matter where he was. But if Rossley was there anytime from 1990-1995 then I was just too busy.

Tom Rossley was at SMU from 1990-1995. SMU went run and shoot after the DP to compete in the SWC. Jerry Glanville dedicated a Falcons blowout over a Jack Pardee Houston team to Rossley (sent him the game ball).

Tom was on the GB Packers coaching staff for a number of years.

Perhaps Rossley and Jones are connected through ATL/Glanville . . .

Tom Rossley's son owns some of the Rec. records at SMU. They will all be broken in the next 2 years though . . .

Ah, a little off on the history. Tom Rossley was the OC under Forrest Gregg as HC until he became head coach. And actually, it was Forrest Gregg that coached the UH/SMU blowout in 1989, and Gregg was as significant a recipient of the dedication as Rossley, if not moreso. UH has great success with the run and shoot. Only Arkansas and A&M beat them during that time period, and both those games were to-the-wire close.

I think Coach Rossley left for a year in 1990 to join Atlanta after spending 88-89 with Coach Gregg. He then returned as SMU's head coach from 1991-1996 after Coach Gregg resigned at the end of 1990 season.
